Probably one of the more impressive train stations on the Akita Shinkansen line. Amazing architecture and well lit.

No ATM at station, but the station staff were very helpful with directions to the nearest ATM. PSA for travellers with foreign cards: after running around town for a whole hour to seven different ATMs, I can confirm that the only ATM that accepts foreign cards (mine was Citibank) is at the Lawson convenience store, about a 10 minute’s walk from the station. The ATM at the post office is the only other one that should accept international cards, but it didn’t accept mine, maybe because it was a weekend?

Tourist information office. You can store your oversize luggage here for a small amount of money. The staff speaks english and is so helpful. Thank you.

Very helpful staff that can give assistance you call the shuttle bus on your arrival. Thumbs up for hospitaljfy

This station is quite small, three platform, waiting room with convenience store inside with heater or air con depend what season. Bus stop is right at the front make it super convenient for visitors. Free wifi here just like all other stations in Japan. It's not the size, it's the standard
