Since around 1943, there have been many Army soldiers in the city of Yokohama. It's as if the Army all over Japan moved to Yokohama. By now, the convoy for the Mariana Islands was out of Yokohama Port, so it would have been waiting for the embarkation. There were many soldiers stationed at Aoki National School (Aoki Elementary School). It was a ship engineer because it was called "Akatsukitai". At the morning gathering, all the soldiers gathered together and had a great time worshiping Miyagi and Yasukuni Shrine together with the children. They also visited the classes and played with the children during their breaks. The soldiers sent a "school life" with the children. In addition, Sakiyoken, which is famous for Shumai, served as a catering center for Army soldiers stationed in Yokohama, so soldiers carried food by a large eight-wheeled vehicle.
