Very few English signs, prepare to bring a Japanese guide if you want to fully enjoy this place. Also entrance is free for international students, just say so at the entrance!

Wide place to walk around and variety of animals to meet.

We went there on a Sunday in January. There were only a few people, mostly families. The price was okay. I didn’t like how the animals were kept because the cages were way too small. All the lions and cheaters had this syndrome where they only walk form one end of their cage to the other. Though this may be great for children because the animals are better visible. You can also touch sheep, goats and rabbits. The zoo is quite big. For some cages you have to go up a mountain. The view from there is great. There are a lot of pick nick places and drinking machines.

The zoo is wide and has many different types of animals. The children seem to enjoy watching the animals. However, the smell at the zoo is quite foul. The animals locked in cages look quite poor and sad.
