Pretty little park by a canal in Kurume city. Convenient city to stay in if you want to go to Beppu via the Yufu Limited express train instead of the expensive bullet train via Hakata. It’s a small city but there are a few very nice little shrines and temples.

Nice little park in an urban area

The shade of the cherry trees is pleasant in the spring and in the shade in the summer, making it a familiar place for citizens to start their summer water festival. However, there are no play equipment. There is a sandy square, so it's perfect for drawing on the ground and playing games, and for small children to run around. The fountain ⛲ and the flowing waterside are reproduced. I think that you can enjoy it if you play comfortably while paying attention to waterside accidents.
