Fukuoka Prefectural Yame Technical High School is a high school located 600 meters north of JR Hainuzuka Station. It was opened in 1920 (Taisho 9) and renamed Fukuoka Prefectural Chikugo High School in 1949 (Showa 24), but was renamed Fukuoka Prefectural Yame Technical High School in 1953 (Showa 28). The lessons are “honest”, “hard work”, and “cooperation”. Koichi Nakano, a bicycle racer who is famous for his 10th consecutive world championship individual sprint, is a graduate.

I have been studying at this high school for 3 years. I graduated in 1975, but around the time the electronic calculator began to operate, I was programming in a special language such as Fortran or Cobol. Open a hole in a paper card with a punch machine and pass it through a reader to INPUT. The result is output on a dot printer. Although the electronic calculator which was in this high school was the goods of the electric public corporation, it was somehow there was no IO terminal of keyboard or CRT. Perhaps these electronic computers are located in the science museum in Ueno. NEAC, TOSBAC, HITAC, MELCOM, FACOM, which is the product name of the electronic calculator of major electric machine manufacturers who are currently producing electronic calculators.
