It is a facility with an exhibition about disasters and mitigation and experience-based space. From 13:30 onwards, you can see a scene in which the space containing the image and doll that reproduced the shaking of the Great Hanshin Earthquake, the Osaka Northern Earthquake, and the Kumamoto Earthquake that were in the past actually shake. You can see how the room collapses in the background, moving at the same time as the machine shakes, so you can see what it is better to fix the furniture with. It was a very good experience. It is a facility that you want your family with children to experience.

You can see the exhibits on earthquakes. It is possible to shake the entire building. When turning to the back you can see the seismic isolation device with the semi-underground being glazed. Eight base isolation oil dampers made by KYB subsidiary that had data alteration were installed in the basement, but what will we do from now?

Research facilities for earthquakes and related disasters. Research is mainly from the engineering field (architecture and civil engineering), and rather than earthquake prediction, earthquakes are expected to occur, and research is being conducted from the hard and soft aspects to live safely in a modern city that is becoming more complex. I think this is largely due to the achievements of Mr. Nobuo Fukuwa, who is the current director of the center. I sincerely hope that the establishment of such a center will be a good development of earthquake research in Japan, which had been a foresight of prediction.

There are many facilities that can experience the strength and damage of earthquakes caused by earthquake mechanisms, machines and VR. It is recommended that you check the mini-courses that will be held from 13:30 on HP.
