The renovation work of the lecture hall of the Faculty of Economics, which is located right next to the main gate of the university, has been completed. It seems that they had been working on earthquake-proofing for a long time due to aging, but it seems that the exterior was also restored. The surroundings of the building have also been improved, and the atmosphere has changed considerably. It is a registered tangible cultural property built in 1924, which was the Hikone Higher Commercial School, and is a symbol of the university along with the Rishui Kaikan designed by Vories. Until now, I was not able to enter the building, but now that the construction is complete, I can see how things are going inside, and I hope it can be used for events.
