How can I see this mummy exhibition in Niigata ... I bought an advance ticket and went out today on weekdays ❗ Although the scale is small, mummies from all over the world were introduced and it was very impressive. Personally, I was surprised and attracted to the mummy of a Japanese honzogaku scholar. The Egyptian casket is also wonderful. Because of the weekdays, I was able to go around slowly with a moderate number of visitors. I'd like to bring my grandchildren from elementary school, but Maa-chan hesitates because of the congestion on Saturdays and Sundays ... 💦

I went to the mummy exhibition. Not only Egyptian mummies but also 43 bodies collected from all over the world were exhibited, and there was also a Japanese Sokushinbutsu. There was also a replica. Some were still wrapped in cloth. It was interesting to see the differences in manufacturing methods and regions, the backgrounds made, and religious views. I can't deny the slightly creepy side. In particular, the shrunken head made by the head hunters was scary to remember that it was written in a book I read when I was a kid. I was a little tired because it seemed to be poisonous. At the museum shop, there are many fun goods such as accessories designed like a mummy, clear files of cute mummy characters, key holders, bookmarks of papyrus, eye piercings of Horus, necklaces, pictorial records, etc. I bought some.

I went to the mummy exhibition. Maybe because it was a weekday, it wasn't so crowded I was able to see it comfortably. There is a wheelchair for rent, I was able to make my elderly companion safe.
