Kisakata Station

It's an old local line station, but the inside was clean. The folding screen picture caught my eye.

There is a monument on the site of Matsuo Aoi visit. It used to be a lagoon with small islands dotted like Matsushima, but it seems that land has been raised and landed due to crustal movement during the Edo period. It is a feature of the lagoon age that pine trees are scattered among the grain. I did not know just by passing the train, so I got off about 40 years ago and took a walk around the area, but I did not understand well after all.

It is a relaxing countryside railway station! There is a coffee shop where there is a parking lot nearby for free and there is a souvenir! It is a station that can be hot! It is the northernmost part of the road that Matsuo Basho keeps! It is a park where you can walk for a bit on the left! There are two monuments of Basho! Please try walking for a moment while waiting!

A long time ago, I used the Inaho to get off the bus with a longer operating distance. It was far from walking to the roadside station, and I decided to hang around Kisakata station. There was a stone monument. There are several convenience stores near the roadside station, but there are no convenience stores near Kisakata station. The waiting room was large and the TV was on.

Limited express trains and temporary trains on the Uetsu Main Line also stop. It is a section not available for Suica. It is the nearest station to Michi-no-Eki / Shijogata.
