Tamade can be a little skanky. This one however is excellent. Good meat selection, vegetables you won't find elsewhere such as shallots. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Super Tamade is known for 1) their bright neon signage, and 2) having cheap food of dubious quality and freshness. This is one of the cleaner, brighter locations, though they've been sold out of the exact things I needed 75% of the times I've gone. If you grocery shop enough in Japan, you'll quickly learn that for most things, Tamade's prices are the same or even higher than other, "nicer" supermarkets. Produce and prepared foods are a better bet, but no need to come here for packaged items like sugar, soy sauce, drinks, etc.

This branch is not very large but there's still a wide range of fresh produce, bentos and cooked food. Prices are really good. Great place to save money.
