Gakken-Kita-Ikoma Station

This station may seem too close to Shiraniwadai, the slightly further inbound one, to provide any actual coverage, but as Shiraniwadai is located at a higher altitude, this station is a good destination for locals. The station is minimally manned, with usually no more than one staff at a time. Sensors are used to provide platform safety coverage. The bicycle parking here permits short-term parking only up to one day at a time. The parking is periodically checked to remove overstaying vehicles. If you need to park overnight, go to Shiraniwadai or Tomigaoka stations. There are automobile parking stations. Nearby places (as of Nov 2017) include Shikinomori Park (slightly uphill), One-Karubi (BBQ/yakiniku) (2-3 blocks away), a Starbucks (2 blocks away), Nara Institute of Science and Technology (about 2 km), Takayama Science Town (about 2 km), and Tomio River, where you can ride a bicycle down to Tomio Station.

You can see the train that stops at the next station, Shiraniwadai Station. Rice fields and new residential areas are mixed.

Both the station square and the station premises are very clean and clean. Within walking distance, restaurants, convenience stores, supermarkets, Starbucks and multiple parking lots are very convenient.
