This is a unique, but expanding type of hostel in Japan. It’s unique in that space is made available for those not staying to come and enjoy a meal, dessert and/or a drink. We arrived late and missed the main lunch item (sold out), but what we ate was yummy, and we added dessert. Evenings often have an event, but it turns into a bar. Check their website for the schedule. Parking is across the street; look for the narrow road leading down. If you’re in the area, check them out.

お洒落で居心地の良い空間のカフェ。入り口付近に作家さんの陶器が販売されているのも魅力的ですが、残念な事にランチの種類が少なすぎる！そして内容に対しての値段設定が高い！！ そうめん定食とだご汁定食（どちらも1000円）の2種類しかなく、しかもその日はそうめん定食が残り一食分しかないとのことで夫婦で訪れたのですが仕方なく主人だけ注文することにしました。使われている器も素敵だし、そうめんは美味しかったのですが、いかんせん内容が「えっ？これで1000円もするの！？」写真を見れば分かるように量もかなり少ない上に、市内中心部のお店ならまだ分からなくもないけれど…これはちょっと高過ぎる！！！といった印象でした。せっかく雰囲気も良いのにとても残念。お腹をすかせてランチを楽しみに来店したのでなおさら…ね。珈琲を飲みに行くぐらいならちょうどいいのかもしれません。申し訳ありませんが、またここに行きたいとは思えませんでした。

Anyway, it ’s very comfortable! I stayed at work, but the scent of cypress in the room healed me, and the bed was very comfortable and sound until morning. You can prepare your own meals in the common space on the 2nd floor, and there is a coin laundry, so I think it is good for long-term stays. Events are held regularly at the cafe on the first floor, and the works of local artists are lined up, creating a space full of local love. It is a high quality inn that you can't think of as a former hospital.

A lovely hostel run by a young couple in a building that was renovated from a former orthopedic hospital. It's very comfortable and the wind feels good because it's sandwiched between two rivers. The Meganebashi Bridge behind me made me feel the history. The dishes made with delicious local ingredients served in a local Shodai ware bowl have a simple and clean taste. Next time I would like to use it for accommodation.

As it was a weekday, I arrived leisurely at 13:45 when it wasn't crowded. When I arrived at Minamiseki Somen's lunch, there was only one set of dango soup, so I ordered the set and a single soup. At that time, the staff's response was very good, and even after eating, he said, "Is it enough?" I was also watching the other staff members, but I was very careful with all the customers, and they had a very friendly atmosphere, such as tableware and talking to them at the right time. Minamiseki Inari, the dango soup set meal, and the vegetables used were very fresh and delicious. I ordered coffee jelly and blueberry cake for dessert. The ice cream of jersey milk was also refreshing, and the blueberries of the cake seemed to be pesticide-free in Yamatocho, but the taste was solid and very delicious. The inside of the store is very large and the tables are large, so you can leave enough space so that it is not crowded. If the time is right, I think it would be ant to sit outside. A meal with a view of the river seems to be comfortable. There is a corner where Kodairo ware is on sale inside the store, but I bought a plate from the kiln called Ichinenki that was very fashionable. At that time, the staff talked to me. I wanted to visit again in a very friendly atmosphere. This time we will make it possible to arrive earlier.
