My two-year old daughter got typhoid fever in Japan in 1984.
It was eventually diagnosed in Uawjima (with help from pathologists in Matsuyama).
Few Japanese doctors had ever seen an actual case of typhoid!
One of the doctors there had and we received excellent treatment during our 35 days in a quarantined ward. A large number of doctors and nurses were involved in the care and treatment process.
My daughter survived.
We didn’t have anything to complain about then.
Maybe things have changed there over the last 38 years.
If so, that’s sad for me, because I have nothing but praise for the staff I met. Some visited me years later for a brief holiday in my own country.
My family had a throat surgery two years ago and I still have regular checkups. The waiting time was expected, but not hours. Even if I made a reservation, the general hospital in the neighborhood often waited for hours, so I felt it early.
During hospitalization, surgery, doctors, nurses and receptionists were all kind and polite.
My relatives have been hospitalized for a long time.
I thought he was doing everything he could, but he could only say that he was slow to deal with it.
This may be normal, but it can take up to 30 minutes for a doctor on duty to arrive at night. Even though he was suffering, he was left unattended until a doctor on duty came without a nurse. As a family, I was anxious and dying. Because of this, I thought about transferring to another hospital many times.
In addition, the nurses were strangely confident and often dealt with them without listening to their opinions. I say it hurts and it's painful, but I don't know the simple reason to say it's okay, be patient. Therefore, the treatment content may change under the guidance of a doctor.
Although there are individual differences, I have the impression that there are many relatively kind nurses. However, I am very anxious if I can deal with it when my condition suddenly changes. However, as mentioned above, the arrival of doctors is late.
In addition, the response of the night emergency window is the worst. It's really depressing to have such a sarcastic attitude and facial expression even though my family is coming in a difficult situation. If hospital officials or city officials are looking at this content, I would like them to give guidance as soon as possible. Some people may be in a state of mind that cannot be considered by others, and it may be necessary to deal with them in a solemn manner, but it is simply unpleasant.
Most people come to the hospital because there is only this hospital nearby. If there is another hospital that offers the same treatment, we recommend going to another hospital. If you can choose another hospital to be hospitalized, we recommend another hospital.
It seems that there are good nurses and good doctors, and I feel that they have improved. However, overall, it doesn't seem like a good hospital.
In the outpatient department, there is a waiting time of 2 to 3 hours for a 5 minute consultation. Even if you make a reservation, you will have to wait a long time. I think this is similar for a large general hospital.
Some HCU nurses lack the humanity of building equal relationships with patients and their families. Communication between the nurse, the patient, and the patient's family did not receive the information correctly, which is a problem for both parties. It is widely understood by society in general that there is no fault in either one. However, he does not take responsibility for miscommunication and unilaterally insists on lack of understanding of patients and their families. It reveals that our nurse puts his own self-protection first, and such an immature and childish humanity is involved with the patient as a nurse. In this series of events, it is the scope of business responsibility for managers such as the chief nurse of HCU to contribute to education, such as growing as a pre-nurse person and creating opportunities for reflection necessary for that, but fulfilling the responsibility. It was also revealed that he was not done, that is, he was not working.
In addition, I talked to the HCU nurse manager, but there is a decisive human lack of dishonestly not talking with the eyes of others.
Patients and healthcare professionals are on an equal footing, but they are vulnerable as they are entrusted with their lives.
This event was very anxious and scared by the intimidating nurse.
It's a complaint, so if you don't like it, please go through.
However, it is 100% true.
Anyway, the response of the nurses is the worst. This is a calm and polite tone from beginning to end, but for some reason the nurse (a woman about 50 years old, a responsible position, and a name is also reserved) is in a fighting tone from beginning to end. A lot of rants and rants that reopened despite the fact that information could not be shared in this hospital at all. Later, I heard from other medical institutions that it was completely different from this explanation. It doesn't make sense anymore.
Others have also written, but there is no information sharing or cooperation within the hospital. In addition, he has a rough tone without admitting any blame from mysterious pride, and many rudeness.
A number of rants in front of the bereaved family who lost their relatives and trembled with sadness. I will never forget it.
Of course there are good doctors and nurses, but it is the worst hospital when a terrible nurse is left unattended.
It is a medical institution that I definitely do not want to be involved in. It's the first time in my life I've been so angry.
