For 200 yen, once you're here, why not? They're cute. They're friendly. They don't seem overly exploited.

A nice little place! There were only three other people when I went. Cheap, and the lady kindly refilled my food supply a few times for me. The squirrels at times are aggressive with each other, never with the Giver of Food however. I did get them jumping on my leg/arm/shoulder a few times so be careful if you're uncomfortable around them. The enclosure walls also gave me some great ideas on how to squirrel-proof my bird-feeder.

Fun little park on top of the mountain. The people there are very kind. When it's busy, the squirrels aren't hungry anymore and won't come towards you. Going on week days is the best options.

Glad we went. The squirrels are very cute. It's easy to get to from the rope lift. You can also take a nice hike up.

Staff are helpful. It cost ¥200 to get in. That’s not including the cable cart to get there. (Keep that in mind). Cable cart ride is ¥1080- you can get a discount if you visit Gifu tourist information centre first. Best to go on weekday.
