Good outdoor and indoor onsen. For outdoor, cost is JPY 1,000 while for indoor, cost is JPY 2,500 per person. It is a bit small, though.

The onsen was very nice especially the one outdoors since the surrounding is stunning, the food was also very good.

The staff were amazing and able to fully accommodate English speakers. Access to the outdoor onsen is 1000 yen and towel rental costs Another 400 yen (although you can bring your own towel). The onsen has an amazing view and the sulfur bath was heavenly. I went right at opening around 11A.M and I was the only one in the bath. There is a very nice hike 15 minutes away from the onsen up to kurama-dera Temple.

A moderate sense of back room from the city of Kyoto. There are also Buddhist temples such as Kibune Shrine nearby, making it easy to spend. The hot springs are also good because it is not crowded. There are separate open-air baths for men and women in the hot springs. It's not a gorgeous one, but the location that naturally matches is healing.
