The Kanda Town History Museum is located on the west side of the Kanda Town Hall Government Building, completed in 1975 (Showa 50), and has the oldest history in the Keizuku district. Admission is free, and opening hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Various archaeological materials excavated from the town are on display. Main items are copper pipes excavated from Tokakuji Temple (prefecture-designated archeological materials), copper mirror fragments from the Ishizukayama Tumulus (town-designated archeological materials), Tani Sansai ceramic pillow pieces excavated from the Tani Ruins (town-designated archeological materials), Matsuyama Castle Ruins (town-designated historic sites) ) There are paulownia crest tiles related to Kanbei Kuroda from the excavation.
Next to the Ishizukayama Tumulus, it is a small reinforced concrete one-story building with a construction area of 230 square meters, and it is small.
Valuable materials such as pottery excavated at archeological sites in Kanda are on display. The Nauman Elephant Fossil of the Blue Dragon Cave was also on display. It's not large, so you can look around in 10 minutes. There are also staff members so you can ask questions easily. Admission is free.
A small archive building next to the town hall. When I visited there was a planning exhibition "mountain faith in Ishikari-ji and pine conference" and it was worth seeing.
Not only in ancient times, we can see the scenery that changes due to industry promotion since the Meiji era by photograph exhibition. For local people it is a nostalgic memory, it may be the best exhibition.
It is an area history museum
