Best activity on Iejima!
I lived on Iejima for a couple months and spent time with the owners of the Beach Side Horse Park. Makiko and Tamotsu are AMAZING people who seriously care about their horses, their business and the people who come to enjoy the beach in Iejima. The ranch is literally on the beach and the horse tours actually go on the white sands and splash in the water. You can even book ponies to go into the turquoise water and swim with. It's seriously a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The water is perfect and bathwater warm and there are a million beautiful shells on the beach. The Maekawas are really great at speaking English and want to make your experience perfect. They do longer tours through the jungle/park area near their ranch as well. I would HIGHLY recommend you do this when you visit Iejima as well as hiking Mt. Gusuku! It's a perfect romantic trip and also very family friendly
