Cosy Aussie hangout bar. Good place to start the night. Connected to the hotel behind which will have waves of people keeping the place feeling busy. Cheap pizzas but a little small. Can’t complain as it’s Aussie tourist prices. Bar staff always open for a chat.

I had a great time here 2 years ago. Expensive drinks, unprofessional, bad food, definitely not a place I would recommend my friends to come anymore. Doesn't worth spending your money here, terrible management. Go up the street, plenty of better alternative and with a better spirit! Try TacoTaco for food, sounds like cafe for the best burgers, takahashi-ya for ramen, mockingbird for the party spirit.

Honesty up front: we aren't the target market for this place (we were a hungry family/friends looking more for food than drinks), so if you're looking for a drinking hole with drinking food, it's probably not bad. But that said, if it is the "gastro pub" part you are looking for, like we were, this was enormously underwhelming. (The 4.1 stars surprises me, maybe it was an off night?) The food does not look like the few photos posted here. While the nachos with beans were not terrible, the fish and chips looked and tasted like they came out of a frozen box from the supermarket and the pizzas were pretty so-so, especially in a town run-over with pizza. The chicken karage was the best of it all, but also took nearly 25 minutes longer than all the rest of our dishes and we had to get up and ask for it (maybe they forgot?). The other dishes were already all delivered separately (which isn't a huge issue-- it happens here fairly often). We also had to get up and ask for utensils; they were pulled out of a plastic bag from a cupboard and we were asked how many we "needed". There are no napkins on all the tables so you have to get up and grab them from another table. Another table couldn't find any utensils either so found a toothpick and ate their appetizer with that... Meanwhile there seemed to be plenty of people milling about behind the bar paying not much attention to what the clients were running about looking for. A bar? I'm sure it all tastes ok after several pints when you don't mind eating a plate of fish and chips with your fingers, or getting up several times to serve yourself to something that should really be given to you with your food, but it's definitely a far cry from a gastro pub.

A place that sells pizza's the size meant for starving people is not a place you want to visit. I use the word "starving" as the time it took for the food to come out for GARLIC BREAD was 15 and the mini pizzas was 25min. Please retract your reservations and head somewhere else. The people here act as if they are from the first fleet drinking wiskie and backhanding their diseased wives. This place eats bottom.

Nice pepperoni pizza and beer! My friend ordered the quattro formaggio pizza which weirdly came with honey. The poor pizza cook has to take orders (handling money), make the pizzas and deliver the food at the same time making for some longish waits and a bit of uncertainty about which order belongs where.
