I think this the place that best describes the old Japan. Ambience at night gives a serene vibe as you walk along the alleys. Very nice place. There are a lot of shops and restaurants too.

Gion, a must see in Kyoto. Many buildings are being redecorated, so the overall atmosphere is a bit spoiled. Nice to see many girls wearing traditional kimonos and, if you are lucky, you can meet a real geisha

Beautiful area in Kyoto to take a walk, buy some souvenirs, take some pictures and enjoy. It’s a must if you’re in Kyoto.

A beautiful district, definitely worth a half-a-day visit to wonder through the little streets and visit wonderful temples.
