I didn't know what to expect going into this place, but it was soooo very interesting. They have some English stuff, but not much. Bring a translator that is interested in science. If you are a history or science person, come here, it's a great way to use a couple of hours

Visit Fukui Varve Museum! The varve of lake Suigetsu is one of a global standerd scale of date. The vareves have highly accurate data of the natural environment in the past 70,000 years. This museum stands by the Lake Mikata Goko. There is a famous eel restaurant near the museum. We can watch various kind of bird on the lake.

It started when I stopped by Mikatagoko Road Station during touring. At the Satoyama Satoumi Lake Research Institute next door, a staff member who enthusiastically taught me about waterfowl and fish told me that the things that are attracting attention around the world are on display next to me. Take care of your two discount tickets and move to the museum 🚲💨 As others have written, it was a place where all the ticket offices and guides were polite and clean and could concentrate on the exhibition. Like me, I don't like compulsory theaters, but I think this is what you see. Certainly, I think that a simpler method is better for images loaded with QR code. Sometimes the image was dark and out of focus and it was hard to load, and it was troublesome www However, it was a wonderfully fulfilling museum.
