It is the only one remaining as a signpost of the former Aizu Highway, and this signpost is a precious existence in knowing the highway. It is engraved with "Five Years of Year (1748 AD) Right East entrance left Hokubun way". Once, since the former Takahira Village calls the canvas direction "Tohoku (hikarini)", which is called "Kuwan Ondo (Guanyin Road)", it seems to be a signpost for pilgrimage.
