Kyōto Municipal Uzumasa Elementary School

It's my alma mater. Good memories and bad memories.

An elementary school with a history of over 100 years. It is a fairly large school, and the number of students in grades 1 to 6 is expected to exceed 1,000. Zundu rice field, chicken coop, rabbit coop, small pond, field. It seems that the gymnasium has recently been renewed and has become wide and up-to-date. Complete with solar power generation. Activities such as sumo clubs, soccer, and tennis are active, and local people sometimes play tennis on holidays. Earthquake-resistant construction and a toilet as an emergency facility are also installed. Sakura is beautiful in spring.

Traffic manners are too bad !! Despite the presence of other passers-by, walking along the sidewalks in 4/5 rows to “block the road” and knowing that people are coming from behind, “stop on purpose” and “cannot proceed” When it is terrible, even when friends play on the narrow sidewalks “shaking” their baggage and hitting a passerby, there is no “apology” and “laughing and running away” almost every day. Such a terrible school trip may cause other passers-by to be injured or cause a worst-case accident. It seems that the school does not teach students how to go to school and traffic.

Maybe I entered in 1964 and transferred to Oyamazaki in the summer of the third grade. Since there were more than 10 students in each grade and 50 people in each class, there were at least around 4000 children and at least 100 teachers.
