Our first night in Kyoto we ate here and ordered the Wagyu beef, it was as I expected and delicious. The second night we came back because the food was good and service. We ordered the wagyu again this time it was chewy and definitely not wagyu. I had a fair amount of experience eating meat and wagyu beef. I didn't sink in until we were done and were back at the hotel room looking at the picture of the meat I took. I would post the photo here if I could. The two photo side by side tells the story.
Excellent meat. Atmosphere may not suit everyone - could get noisy with some boozed up people and party group(s), and a smoking section outside. Service was good.
Awesome steak, good beer, and nestled up on the second floor of the market so it was actually quiet.
Extremely expensive for what you get. Tiny, just ok portions. 200ml beer for 600 yen.. Watery ice coffee. In short, tourist trap.
This picture tells you everything you need to know. DELICIOUS! My husband and I were running through the market looking for food when I spotted the huge steak sign. Very classy restaurant with some great choices. The meat is amazing.
