Very pleasant museum: consistent quality works from a lifetime of the artist and nice architecture. The space itself is very enjoyable. If you are in the area worth a 1-2hr visit. It will be a nice, relaxing experience. Important maybe on a regional scale, not necessarily country or prefecture level.
Not a large museum, but there are a few interesting paintings I liked. Bit expensive for the value.
Although it is a small museum, it was a place where you can see Mr. Sugimoto's achievements together with the scenery outside the museum, which is rich in nature.
From familiar designs that you have seen to solemn Buddhist paintings, it is spectacular.
The view from the break room was good, and I was able to enjoy matcha while enjoying the scenery and enjoy the coloring book of the event freely. I think it's a museum filled with the thoughts of the painter Kenkichi Sugimoto.
I went on weekdays and waited until the museum opened before entering. I was able to see the lifelong works of Sugimoto, and there were photos and talks from my childhood. The exhibition was more fulfilling than I expected, and I enjoyed it enough.
