Saga Prefectural High School has been in existence for over 120 years. Since April 2018, it has been integrated with the neighboring prefectural Kashima Business High School, and has reached the first grade as "New Kashima High School". The 1st grade consists of a regular course (5 classes), a commercial course (1 class), and a food cooking course (1 class). In the ordinary course, almost every year, more than half of the students in the third year have passed the national public examination. Although the number of issues is popular, it seems that the accumulation of these issues contributes to boosting the pass rate.

The main gate of the Kashima Castle ruins of the Edo period is called the Akamon, the main gate of the high school. In addition to the Kagoshima senior high school in Saga prefecture, the gates of Japan's three major castles are also preserved in Nishijo High School in Ehime Prefecture and Ueda High School in Nagano Prefecture, besides the gates at the time, pits are preserved. Saga Prefecture is Kashima High School in Kashima City. There is Akamon here. Originally, it was the place where Kashima Castle was located as a branch of the Saga domain. Akamon remains as it was at that time.
