There is a water source well at the neighboring Kitakata Elementary School, and TV coverage is occasionally done.

The birthplace of Japan's domestic beer industry is Yokohama Yamate, which was first brewed by a foreigner. I was surprised because I thought that the birthplace of this product was barley. The monument is much larger than expected. It is installed in an ordinary park. As with anything, I feel happy when it is the birthplace. There is a well in the neighboring northern elementary school that was actually used for brewing at that time, so I think you should check that as well.

住宅街にあるわりと広い公園でキリンビール発祥の地みたいです。

There is a stone monument called “Cultural Ruins, Japan's first beer factory”, but the name of the mayor of Yokohama and the characters engraved on the back cannot be read because the monument is aging, so it is impossible to judge when it is. This place is behind the hill of Yamate, an old foreign settlement, and it seems that good water was obtained in the past. The remnant is that the well at that time remains in the adjacent elementary school. As the inscription says, the first brewery in Japan was built here. It is the predecessor of the current Kirin Beer. However, the factory was completely destroyed by the Great Kanto Earthquake and was relocated to Namamugi, Tsurumi-ku, and then became Kirinen Park in 1937.

Although it is historically valuable, it is not so much that people who come to sightseeing go to the trouble.
