Nearest parking to the Hodosan ropeway at the foot of the mountain. But in saying that its still a good bit of a walk. I don't know if its always free, but we didn't have to pay in January 2019. Sloped pavement to the ropeway station - suitable for a buggy.

A paid parking lot right next to the foot of Mt. Hodori Ropeway. It was 500 yen for climbing on the ropeway, strolling to the top, and descending on the ropeway for just one hour. Is it for weekdays? It seems that the parking lot at the shrine just below was available for free. It's not a big distance, so if you can walk, maybe you can use the parking lot below.

It is impossible to pay 500 yen at the parking lot to use the ropeway. It's usually free! I saw a person complaining. It's impossible, but I can't help but feel like I'm walking uphill.

Paid parking lot. It's quite wide. The parking lot closest to the ropeway platform. Climb the steep slope for 2-3 minutes on foot to the platform.
