On the Karatsu Bay side, a sandy beach, an old road on Route 202, and a scenic pine forest spread out, There is a supermarket and housing on the side of Kagamiyama. An unmanned station with a fairly old station and a separate toilet. Station number JK 17 is also used by female students going to school!

There was a station building quietly hidden in the pine forest. "Nijino Matsubara" may have the purpose of preventing the sea breeze from the Genkai Sea, continuing from Hamasaki Station to the Matsuura River. It is a station where pine woods spread around the station. I can walk to the ion of Karatsu in about 10 minutes on foot from the station. As you walk about 15 minutes you will see Moeyama Onsen. There are bus stops, but the number is small, and access is very bad. The rapid train will not stop.
