At first glance it seemed eerie and suspicious, but soon learned that this resort is filled with lovely accomodations and people. The hot spring is was very modern which suits everybody's taste, although it did not entirely have an outdoor area. The rooms are (or at least mine was) wide with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The food was delicious and does a great job of balancing new, authentic courses with dishes you already know and love. On top of everything, the employees make this place Covid-19 friendly and at no point did I feel at risk of catching/spreading the virus. Great place to stay.

The beds are very comfortable and rooms are huge. The restaurant is fabulous, my father said the pork roast was the best he's ever had. No shower in most rooms but doesn't matter because there is a fabulous onsen, which is one of the points of being in the mountains.
