Katakai Jomon Museum

-A simple museum that deals with ruins of the Jomon period, using the same school building as Katakana Elementary School, which has become an abandoned school. ・ A part of the artifacts excavated from "Kagimine" ruins in Nakago Ward is displayed. There are many pottery items on display. Some of them are made of animal paste. The souvenirs of the former elementary school are also sleeping. ・ You can feel nostalgic in a classroom that has been made in a traditional way. The rural scenery seen from here is really wonderful. ・ How! The classroom and the cooking room on the second floor can be rented (from 160 yen per hour). Specifically, please refer to the city's HP. ・ If you are interested in the ruins, why don't you go to "Izumi Jomon Park" and "Kamine Mine Remains" which are about 6 minutes away by car?

The Katakai elementary school which became a school has become a museum of Jomon pottery. I am touched by the artistic nature of the predecessors.
