This is a great afternoon stop for the kids. It is a little pricey but not too bad. Our kids loved the interactive area on the first floor. We ended up spending as much time there as the rest of the museum combined. The store has some nice little items as well.

The full-scale Naumann elephant is amazingly powerful.

If you are going to Lake Nojiri for the first time, you should stop by. The combination of lake and elephant is only here in Japan! I learned a lot! The tour time is less than an hour. I asked the staff various questions, but they kindly answered.

Naumann elephant origami is made it was fun. It's a little difficult, so it's worth it. There is also a huge deer that rotates in the exhibition It was interesting.
