This Togakushi building is closed. (11/15) The opening date will be announced on the website. The Kitano Art Museum Main Building is open, but reservations are required. Please be careful.

A museum quietly standing in the forest. I got lost as I was feeling sorry for the net on the top without land intuition, but I managed to get there. It is an individual art museum. Only for exhibition exhibitions. Because the exhibition room was empty by one, it was able to be seen loosely. There are both foreign and Japanese paintings. When I went there was a lot of paintings of Yamaoka Tosachi, so it might be glad for fans. A book written by Matsuo Basho was decorated. The staff was very kind. There is also a cafe, and outside forests and Togakushan can be seen on sunny days. The scenery where you can feel magnificent nature is also a wonderful place.

The unique building is interesting. However, because it is small, there are few exhibits, and it seems that you can not stay longer just by looking at it and it is expensive. There is also a coffee shop inside, so it might be nice to order and relax while watching the scenery.

It is a small art museum, but it is a building that sticks to details. The view from the big window is the best. I also saw Togakushi Rashi. A curator also gave guidance and commentary, and that was also very interesting.

Although the number of exhibition rooms and exhibits is limited, it is designed to give you a feeling of being in nature.
