Nice view and good winding road

The view on the Southern Alps side is open, but the other side is a cliff, so it is not a 360-degree view. For a 360-degree view, I think the Iyama Observatory, which is about a 20-minute walk from the wooden garden on the surface, is better. However, I think it's convenient because you can park your car in the parking lot and observe astronomical objects right next to it. I haven't visited in the middle of the night, but from the name, it seems that many people with the same purpose will gather. If you like a quiet environment, you may want to find another little-known spot.

2020.04.29 (dawn) A spectacular spot with a view of the stars from the road. There is no toilet vending machine and it is along the road, so cars sometimes pass by. There is no street light and it is completely dark when the starlight is closed by fog. The view on the east side of the topographical street is particularly good. The weather is often unstable near the top of Mt. Chausu, so if there are many clouds and fog, you may go down about 12km toward Shitara-cho and return to the Omenoki pit / Tengudana parking lot. The photo is a summer night sky taken with a fisheye lens. Summer Triangle on the upper left, Sagittarius and Scorpio on the lower right. The bright stars in the lower center are Jupiter and Saturn.

The scenery around me is amazingly beautiful You can see the Southern Alps in the distance.
