I got stuck in the area on a rainy day, and desperately searched for something to do indoors. This museum is 500 yen, but well worth it if you are interested in archaeology or geology. There are plentiful Jomon artefacts from area excavations as well as a section on the geology of Mt. Asama. Most information is translated into English and it only takes about an hour to go through even if you're looking at everything carefully.

Visited at a special exhibition of stone sticks. It was very good. The difficulty is that we built a municipal house in front of us even though we provided a space to see the top of Asama.

Until the end of August, people who are not living in the city will not be allowed to visit the building due to corona measures. I think that it is a relatively safe facility if a mask, disinfection, temperature measurement, and prevention of tightness are used. I'm sorry that I visited from afar. Do it in isolation! Is it as good as a grudge?

There is no other place in Nagano prefecture where you can enjoy "Jomon" like this. It is a mecca for Jomon archeology.
