MK Taxi Kyōto Sta. Hachijōguchi Stand Office

Great place to wait for a taxi and shelter from the rain. The staff member on hand asks where to beforehand whilst you sit and wait for a taxi to show up. We stayed nearby and wanted to take a taxi to our next hotel which was in a quieter neighbourhood. They tend to have larger vehicles so was able to take all 4 of us plus our luggage straight to the hotel – best to have the Japanese address/telephone to help the driver since it is in a quieter neighbourhood, but the staff at the stand printed the address out for the driver on our behalf! All our drivers were amazing, super nice and professional. Prices are comparative to other local taxis – saw a lot of locals take this taxi too so don't think it's a tourist trap or nothing, just a bonus that they can speak English!

We were so lucky to have a wonderful experience with our lovely Driver Shozo Saka, from MK taxi. That to our good surprise is also the best tour guide! Shozo took us around Kyoto and happily explain the history of Japan, Kyoto and the special places around. Shozo is a great driver with the Best Car and with a great English! Thank you very much Shozo for this great experience and all the things we learned today!

Awesome service, used them twice and on both occasions the driver"s have been totally professional and very informative about the area and most importantly they won't try and rip foreigners off who are new to the city unlike another local firm (no names mentioned). Thank you very much.

Fantastic service! Very clean and comfortable. Myself and my family of 6 had a guide for two days along with a very spacious mini bus. Our guide's name was Ito. I am not sure if this is the location that he is based out of but he was simply fantastic! He went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. He helped us with our stroller and 19 month old son and did not hesitate to go out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. He was full of information about the city as well as each of the attractions we visited. If you are going to be in town and want the absolute best driver or guide, ask for Ito. You will not regret it. If I ever come back, I will most definitely be asking for him. Thank you so much for everything Ito!
