There were some fireflies around the small river but not many. But most of all, it is super annoying that many people visit there by car, along the river!!!! The fireflies kept disappearing, avoiding the strong light from the headlight. Also there were many ignorant people holding the light, making a noise, saying "There aren't many fireflies" Before they came I was looking at 4 fireflies and the people made them hide away. But still there are more fireflies than those at Todaiji and you can see them closer than there.

I went to see the cherry blossoms and Yamabuki near the end of the day. It is not a well-managed park, but there are some good points when the fireflies fly around. No parking lot, old-fashioned toilet.

You can see a considerable amount of fireflies. If you go by car, it is dangerous to go along the river, so it's better to stop it.

Every June, an event to enjoy nature is held under the title Firefly Festival. The light of firefly Tanigawa in the clear air of nature is a must-see. Please experience a very fantastic firefly festival that attracts not only children but also adults.
