There are souvenir shops, restaurants, seats, an aquarium and the occasional live band for you to choose from. The parking lot is big, so know that if it’s full, it’ll be crowded. The bigger shop has a bakery, famous for its salt bread. The bread was just okay. Some of the items in the shop can get pricey, c.f. the local olive oil, but there are others to choose from. When I was there on a beautiful day, a band was setting up outside. I missed seeing them play, but got to hear a bit as I was driving away. 70s easy-listening, from what I heard.

Arguably the most おしゃれ restaurant in Amakusa. About a 45 minute drive from Hondo, I always make it a point to stop by when going to and fro from Kumamoto. The pizzas look great and there are a ton of desserts to choose from. They’ve got a pretty decent menu, but I always end up getting the garlic prawns. What I love the most is the environment though... such a chic area by the pier. I come here whenever I yearn for something that reminds me of the big city 😂

The Dolphin Watching cruise is amazing! The cruise will ensure you'll get a good view of the dolphins. The terrace itself, where you'll board the cruise, is ok. The view is nice, food is good but aside from that, there aren't much nearby. Although I haven't tried other activities like biking. Overall, it's a good place to visit.

The food was good but the menu is a mix of Italian Spanish and British. It is a place for the locals who want to try foreign food. If you are a traveler you will try better Spanish food in Spain and better pizza in Italy.

Highly recommend if you want to see lots of dolphins in the sea. It takes about one and a half hour for the whole trip. The ship is very stable and fast. We see a lot of dolphins and very excited. They have Japanese guide on board providing info for dolphins. They have parking next to the pier. There is a very nice shopping area with nice restaurants next to the pier.
