Ogino

Great grocery store in a small town. Plenty of fresh food to cook and a great selection of prepared foods as well. Pricing was about in line with what I see elsewhere in Japan. Service is quite friendly, even to foreigners.

Ogino is a supermarket near Lake Yamanaka.

It’s clean store with good variety of items. Four stars because shopping here is pretty expensive. (Maybe 10-20% more expensive than similar grocery stores in Tokyo or Kanagawa. There is no other supermarket in this area.

A typical supermarket. Pricing is definitely cheaper than Tokyo area supermarkets for sure. There are some local and Yamanashi produce but most of stuff is the same as other places. Place is clean and check-out is efficient thou.
