The cathedral was founded by Michitaka Kanshiro Fujiwara and is an ancient temple that dates back to the temple founded by Kobo Daishi. It is said that in ancient times, a large cathedral was set up around Gosha Sozan. The site of the temple still remains today. The main priest, Yakushi Ruriko Nyorai, is an important cultural property designated by Hiroshima Prefecture, and will be opened on the day of the festival.
