It’s good station. Always the staffs are working here. This station’s platform is on the night deck so you need to take stairs up there or take an elevator. There are parking. From the platform you can see beautiful mountain and Karatsu castle with river view. It’s nice to say good bye here. You can directly veto to the Fukuoka airport by the train. Enjoy.

I thought it was a more lively station, but the window was closed depending on the time. On the day of the visit, the car collided with an elevated railway track at Imajuku and the train was delayed significantly. I just got off. Before the opening of the subway, railcar districts were set up, and Kiha 30 and 35 were the main products, and later Kiha 26600 series which was converted from Kiha 26400 series (original first-class car) to long seats was also placed.

When the Chikuen Line was electrified (DC), it moved to the current location and became an elevated station, but there used to be the present Karatsu Royal Hotel before, the train from Hakata switched back at the former Higashi Karatsu station ) And went along the Matsuura River, reaching the current Yamamoto station ❗
