Coffee Shop Hina

A quaint shop located a short distance from the main tourist attractions. Soft classical music befits the dark wood interior that has a few tables and several seats at the counter. Don't come here if you are in a hurry or waiting for the bus as the proprietor takes painstaking care in preparing your order. Coffee is freshly ground and hand dripped to order. Highly recommended is the apple pie that is large enough for two to share

My favourite place to visit whenever I was in Shirakawa! A cute little coffee shop run by an elderly grandpa, this isn’t the kind of place you can just rush through. Only visit here if you have time to slowly enjoy yourself and you’re not on a schedule. Beautiful selection of coffees with a little menu of food and cakes but it’s really all that’s needed. The chocolate cake is definitely my favourite thing to order but the sweet toast options are also delicious! If you don’t have time to slow down, come back next time when you have no time constraints. Seriously, no joke, it’s only run by one grandpa most of the time who might sometimes have an aunty come into help from time to time. Also don’t come here in a big group. Max 4 people because that’s the largest table they have.

Ordered 2 hot black coffee and a cheese cake. The aroma of the coffee is great. The cake average. The barista is a nice old man and the place has good ambience. Would give 4.5 stars if i could.

The local Hina blend was really nice and the coffee shop gave us a warm, cozy feeling. Not that many seats and the music was 50-s Sinatra and jazz. Really nice place to while away the hours especially on cold or rainy days. The senior man who prepared the drip coffee was very meticulous and you could see him brewing coffee with full of love and care.
