Supercenter Trial

I like the self check out carts. Just scan your prepaid, reloadable card at the start. Then scan products before putting them in your cart. At check out, the staff will scan random items, just to check. Although the store is 24 hours, this feature only goes from 9am. It's not a bad system, but if they did a self check out similar to Walmart, that would be better. The store itself carries most essentials. I've had to go elsewhere for certain items, especially related to things for my new apartment. They don't carry furniture or much variety in shelves or clothing and such. Still, solid underclothes, cleaning supplies, and basic food items. Certain evergreen traditional Japanese products are not carried, like thick ginger tea or certain sweets. Surprising, as every supermarket I've been to in Japan carries these. I'm also surprised that the bento box bottoms arch up, making them seem more full. But, all in all, a good place. Edit: Wow, changes! There is self-checkout, there is giant bottles of CC Lemon, and a massive influx of traditional Japanese snacks. Nice!

I find Trial very convenient for most of my shopping. It's a standard supermarket akin to Walmart with a mix of produce and foods along with clothing, housewares, and other basic necessities. If you're looking for rarer foreign import in Japan, you're less likely to find them here, but it does have a respectable breadth of ingredients and premade foods for when you're in a rush. No fresh bakery section unfortunately, but there are few small shelves of various commercialized breads.

If you use the barcode attached to the cart with a reader, you can put the product in the bag as it is and go home, so it will not be a hassle twice and you can shop speedily, so I am happy that you can enjoy it! ️😃✌️
