KAZUYUKI YAMAMOTO (04/11/2018)
Ryugujima Once upon a time, pirates entered and left the port of Fukuura, afflicting good people. Pirate mansions were scattered all over the harbor, the largest of which was on the opposite shore of Denma Island. One day, a group of consultations asked us, "Let's get rid of the pirates on that island together." The young people of the village will go all out to subdue. By the way, when I fell asleep at night, I took a boat to the island and gently landed, but there was no sign of people. "It's weird, there shouldn't be this." Everyone walked around looking for a small island, but I could not find one cat. "Tonight, I'll go offshore again, and I'll do bad things. I'll come back again tomorrow night." A young man said so, but everyone was still walking with all their footsteps. There was a loud noise from the base of the darkness, and a pine leaned sharply. The youths were surprised to lie down all together and squint their eyes. Then, there was a big man who had a hole in the root of the pine tree and created a cloud. Not alone. Two people, three people, four people, nine people, ten people, and so on. There are 36 people when I count later. I didn't make footsteps due to the big man's habit, and when I boarded a ship that I drew from nowhere, it disappeared offshore like a fart. The young people gathered around the pine trees and looked at each other, but suddenly, one courageous person leaned the pine tree and entered the hole at the base. The young people, who had been watching it for a while, regained their attention and then went on. Then, I was amazed. The inside of the hole is a magnificent palace, no, just like Ryugu Castle, where gold and silver treasures were piled up with mountains. In the back, the women dressed up in beautiful kimono were in the midst of a boozing booze. The young people stood still for a while in the atmosphere. Then maybe the women noticed that, "Well, you came from the other shore, right? We've been waiting for a long time. Now, please come to me." The youths, like sleepwalkers, rushed into the banquet circle, and suddenly they forgot their time and purpose, and got drunk with sake. In the meantime, the pirates came back all the way, and the young ones were captured, but only one escaped from life and told the villagers about this. The next morning, the village people went all out to try to save the youths by rushing to Denmajima, but mysteriously, I couldn't find the pine tree the night before. Since that night, the pirates that devastate the nearby sea have disappeared, so that's fine. The whereabouts of the captured young people remained unknown. The people of Fukuura who have regained their tranquility due to the absence of pirates have built a grave for young people on Denmajima Island and changed it to “Ryugujima”, telling the courage of those who went to exterminate pirates forever. From Yoshida Tomita's "The Last Fort of the Heike, Hikoshima Old Story" (note) Ryugujima is a small island near Shiohama in the inner part of Fukuura Bay, but it is now a land continuation. Commonly known as Mt. Ringo, formerly known as "Pirate Island". At present, it is a small park in Shiohama town, but the name is said to be "Ryugu turned into an apple." In addition, near this place, there are other place names and legends such as "Pirate Valley", "Pirate's Mouth", "Pirate Stay", and "Pirate House". In addition, the fact that the number of pirates is 36 is interesting considering that it is the reciprocal of 63 Era.
