Moomin Nanakita Park

Spacious public park in the heart of Izumiku. Very few toilets or drink fountains. Not ideal for little kids on a hot day. The play equipment is run down and not really designed for little kids. Being so close to the Izumi Chuo Subway Station, I was impressed that the parking fees were satisfactorily cheap and the parking lot had a lot of room. The saving factor of the day was the stream that runs through the park. With water to get their feet wet and play in, kids come alive! It was shallow and safe enough for elementary aged children to play in under supervision. An OK place if you need a big grassy area for kids to run around in.

Great place for families, lots of play areas for kids of different ages. Plenty of picnic space, public toilets (no diaper changing space), vending machines to get drinks and plenty of restaurants nearby as well as a large mall. Do not come by car! There is quite a lot of parking but it gets full and waiting time in holidays and weekends are absolute madness. Come by bike or by metro to the nearby izumi chuo station.

It is wider than you think and you can take a leisurely walk. At the center of the park, agave, which blooms once every 100 years, is on display. It seems that you can enjoy it all November. As of November 9, 2nd year of Reiwa, the autumn leaves are very beautiful, and you can enjoy the autumn leaves up close under the bright red maple. There are plenty of playground equipment and spaces for children to play in, making it a good park for families. The parking fee is 100 yen per hour for up to 3 hours, and 150 yen per hour after that.
