A small cafe located in the same building as the admission machines to cross the bridge. I've had lunch here after the visit to the island and the food was really good considering it is so out of the way from the touristy areas. Great for a drink or a meal.
It is a pretty cool place to take a decent break, especially after a long walk. Coffee served in the house was really good, though seemingly a little bit pricey.
Great place to grab a quick coffee before hiking the island!

The entrance ticket to Fukuura Bridge across Fukuura Island is accepted at Cafe Bayland. Adults ¥200, children ¥100 can cross the bridge. It is a vermilion bridge with a total length of 252m that connects to the island.
I took a rest here for a tired body from the hot summer expedition to Matsushima. Tapioca (lol) Milk tea and iced coffee & Zunda mochi. After all, the mochi rice cake was delicious.
It is said that the damaged bridge during the 3.11 earthquake was restored with great support from "friendly country" Taiwan. Taegusa, Taiwan! Taiwan is the only Asian friend!
