I went to this place three years ago and I still think about it. You must go if you're in Takayama. Friendly owner and delicious custard.

There are several pudding shops in Takayama, but this one is real. Anyway, the bright owner handles everything from making pudding for local production for local consumption to selling it all by himself. You can tell immediately after eating a bite that only good quality eggs and milk are used. Hot pudding will be exceptional when it gets cold. This pudding can only be found in Miyagawa Morning Market. It is inevitable that it will be sold out, so if you find it, you should get it immediately. (By the way, when I visited, it was sold out at 10 o'clock)
