CHEZ L'AMI JOT - シェ ラミジョ

It’s a small wonderful bakery with two tables for dining in. It’s in an unassuming location with street parking. It is also directly across the street from the train station and would make for a pleasant day trip from other locations in the state of Yamaguchi. The atmosphere is French! With magazines, radio, and writing on the walls all in French! The owner(?) even spoke French and a little English. He was kind and attentive and made us feel very welcome. My husband said he was overwhelmed. For a small moment in a sleepy Japanese town, I felt like I was really back in France.

Fantastic pan and service. Pan was warm, fluffy, delicious, buttery, flaky, and had overall amazing textures. We especially liked the nut bread (picture #9) and curry pocket (picture #7) Price points were about 30% higher than similar boutique boulangeries in Japan but the prices are well warranted with how each item is perfectly balanced. My recommendation, go with the baguette if you want something simple--the best baguette I have ever eaten.

I have French bread with good hardness. Bread and other breads are also delicious.

I was worried because the shop owner was introduced on the page of Hikariichi on Facebook. It feels very chewy and I heard that bread was made in various places in the interior and interior.

I bought the first bread with sunflower seeds and fennel! It had a unique scent, and the scent matched well with raw ham, tomato, cheese, olive oil, etc., and it was the most delicious ♪
