Safe trail that is easy for kids. The climb is quite easy and the views of the forest are great. The top of the mountain is wooded so there aren’t any views of the surrounding landscape. You can make it to the top an back in about 1.5 hours. No pets but I don’t think anyone would bother you if you are being responsible with them. Worth the stop.

I was 25% of the way to the peak when I encountered these signs warning people to turn back since many people got lost on the trail and rescue can take many days. So I don't recommend you to venture to the peak. Also as other people mentioned, the peak is overgrown so you won't see a view anyway. I saw a bunch of salamanders though.

Nice hike, easy to moderate. The signs overstate the challenge of the hike. We made it from the trailhead to the peak and back in about 3 hours. There isn't much of a view from the top as the trail is overgrown, but you can look out through the trees to see pretty far.

Jungle trail about an 1-1.5 hrs of brisk uphill will lead you to the highest point. Unfortunately, the trail is poorly maintained and overgrown with numerous fallen trees on the trail. If there is a senic point here, we didn't find it. Only real point of interest here was a clearing where a house once stood (see photo). As a nature trail it's not bad, just don't expect to get a view.
