Servers were able to offer a vegan-friendly set. The food was delicious and staff was very friendly. However, there is no English menu and staff only speak a small amount of English, so Japanese is useful if you have special requests.
Negiya Heikichi Takase is a wonderful restaurant to go for a healthy meal in Kyoto.
The Yuuba Tororo Meishi is famous, incredibly delicious, famous and great value.
While the restaurant is very popular, it is relatively quiet too. Offering a very pleasant setting to enjoy a relaxed healthy lunch in Kyoto.
If you are looking for good value yet healthy lunch Negiya Heikichi Takase restaurant is highly recommended.

Chef was skilled and friendly. Food was delicious - we had several grilled vegetables, BBQ rib steak, sukiyaki. And lovely saki!! Service was good; prices moderate; quality great.
Highly recommend this place.
Fabulous food - a real dining experience for us westerners! The sashimi was sensational as was the beef hot pot, particularly on a chilly February night. The chef was very helpful and friendly, he really made our evening!
Nice and cozy restaurant. The food is really traditional. Very good!
