There is an entry fee. It was open during Obon. It didn't look popular. The building is very modern and its surrounded by Japanese architecture. It is in walking distance of the other museums and michi no eki.

It is a personal collection, but you can see works by Kotaro Takamura and Rodin. Because it was a quiet season, I opened it for me only. It seems that the staff of the adjacent Ryokankan is also serving concurrently. Although there are few works, the location and the hall are “quiet” according to the concept of this museum. The sculptures are sparse, so I was glad that it was rare to be able to confront art works alone, regardless of the quality of the work. The staff women were kind and the sightseeing spots around me were also told and the impression was quite good. There is a parking lot in front of the museum, but there are also restaurants and Ryokankan, so if the season and the weather are good, it seems like you can enjoy the whole atmosphere by strolling around! I overlooked the sign and noticed it late, so I took several photos, but photography of the work was prohibited!

The memorial building is also worth a visit. At the Ryokan Village Art Museum next door, it makes me happy Matcha is also available on Sunday.
